Using fish that had washed up dead on the shores of Echo Lake, Saskatchewn, Saltzman has created a series of powerful and colourful imagery that draws attention to the destruction of our natural enviroments.
“When hundreds of fish washed onto our lake shores it served as a visual signal of the effects humans have on the earth’s delicate web of life…Each photograph marks the loss of these fish, the Lake Dwellers, and carries with it their cries, a reminder of the ongoing need for awareness, education and continued efforts to change our destructive ways.” – Vera Saltzman
